Lisa Louise Langford (SHERRY/ DR. TOROS) she/her - is a Cleveland-based playwright and actor. At Dobama: WITCH, SKELETON CREW, brownsville song (b-side for trey), and REVOLT. SHE SAID. REVOLT AGAIN. As an actress, Lisa has worked in television, film, and theatre, earning a Lucille Lortel nomination and Off-Broadway Encore Magazine’s “Taking Off” award for best female performance. Lisa’s plays include Sankofa: An Epic Adventure (Playhouse Square, Cleveland, OH); Rastus and Hattie (Cleveland Public Theatre, Cleveland, OH; 16th Street Theatre, Chicago, IL); Dear God, (Different Strokes Theatre Collective, Asheville, NC); How Blood Go (Congo Square, Chicago, IL) and others. Her plays have been developed by Moxie Theatre, Boise Contemporary Theatre, National New Play Network, Pittsburgh Public Theatre, Cleveland Playhouse, Karamu House, and Dobama Theatre. She wrote a pilot, The Women Could Fly, for Amazon Studios and has received the Joyce Award, the Ohio Arts Council Individual Excellence Award, and the Stanley Drama Award (1st runner up).
