CorLesia Smith* (RUBY) she/her - was born in Mississippi and has lived across the country, but Cleveland has become home, where she attended the Chagrin Falls Performing Arts Academy. Recent credits include Jubilee (Jennie Jackson), Sistas: The Musical (Roberta), Purlie Victorious (Missy Judson), and Weathering (Lena) at Karamu House; A Motown Christmas, Velveteen: A New Musical, and Black Nativity at Playhouse Square; and Caroline, or Change (Dotty) at Cain Park. Additional credits include The Mountaintop (Camea), Dance Nation (Amina), Passing Strange (Sherry/Renata/Desi), Simply Simone (Nina 2), and The Color Purple (Celie and Nettie).
