MY HEMISPHERE invites us on a journey that crosses distances, cultures, and time as it unites two people into one family. MY HEMISPHERE is a 9 year-old girl in a West African village and a 9 year-old boy in a suburb of Cleveland, Ohio. It is the summer of 1977 and both children face a life-changing crisis. Surprisingly, help appears for each child from the most unlikely of heroines. MY HEMISPHERE is Mad Magazine and apple strudel and Elvis. It is the market place and enguis soup and High Life music. It is song. It is movement. It is story. It is a testament to the forgotten. Told by three actors and a musician MY HEMISPHERE invites us into a singular journey that crosses distances, cultures, and time as it unites two people into one family and celebrates the redemptive power of kindness, generosity, and understanding.
