A reimagining Shakespeare's classic tragedy of Macbeth within the cutthroat world of beauty pageants. MissBeth reimagines Shakespeare's classic tragedy of Macbeth within the world of beauty pageants, blending the cutthroat competition of stardom with the timeless themes of ambition, power, and downfall. Set in the vibrant, glitter-filled backdrop of 1985-1995, the story unfolds in Northern Mexico and the USA, juxtaposing the glamor of pageantry with the haunting influence of folk traditions like "mal de ojo" and love spells. Miss Macbeth, beauty queen who narrowly misses the crown, becomes entangled in a true crime narrative of betrayal, rivalries, and high stakes—where economic investment, national pride, and stardom hang in the balance.
