A reading by Playwrights’ GYM Member Faye Sholiton
A DEATH IN THE CITY
A DEATH IN THE CITY was written to explore the sacrifice of Rev. Bruce Klunder, a 26-year-old Civil Rights activist who died in 1964 while protesting the building of still more inferior schools in Cleveland's inner city. The fight for educational equality claimed many more victims, many of whom still bear the scars of their shoddy treatment as children in the system.
There will be an audience talkback following the reading. All Beer & Wine is $1 for Playwrights’ GYM readings.
