DOBAMA THEATRE’s MISSION
Dobama Theatre is dedicated to premiering important new plays by established and emerging playwrights in professional productions of the highest quality. Through theatrical production, community engagement, and education programming, Dobama nurtures the development of theatre artists and builds new audiences for the arts while provoking an examination of our contemporary world.
SOMETHING CLEAN
Onstage March 8th - 30th.
This suspenseful and stirring production follows one woman's struggle for understanding when an act of violence is committed by a member of her own family. The New York Times called Selina Fillinger's new play, “... thoughtful, poignant … a beautifully observed, richly compassionate new drama.”
FULL CIRCLE PROGRAM
Dobama's new FULL CIRCLE Program actively engages members from communities represented in the plays produced onstage to the rehearsal process and through expanded audience enrichment programming. Partners this season include the AIDS Task Force of Greater Cleveland, the Cleveland Rape Crisis Center, and LGBT Community Center.
"Take the risk with us. Feel welcome.
We're all in this together. We all own it all."
— Donald Bianchi, Founding Artistic Director, Dobama Theatre
