 ABOUT THE PLAY

Colder Than Here
by Laura Wade

February 28 - March 23 , 2008
Laura Wade is a Pearson Playwright prizewinner, was recently named Most Promising Playwright tby the London Critics Circle, and was nominated for an Olivier Award.

When Myra learns that she has terminal cancer she responds in her normal take charge manner, organizing her funeral in a Power-Point presentation. Myra's husband, Alec, retreats to his malfunctioning boiler leaving Myra's adult daughters to cope with cemetery picnics and biodegradable coffins. A hilarious and powerful story of a fractured family learning to open doors to each other.
