Erik T. Lawson

Erik T. Lawson (Sound Design and Original Music) is a sound designer and composer based in the New York area. Recent designs include The Effect (Barrow Street Theatre), Sotto Voce (Asolo Repertory Theatre, Theatre for the New City), Stalking the Bogeyman (New World Stages, Southwark Playhouse - London), Church and State (New World Stages), Tsunami (Miami Cultural Arts Center), The Love of the Nightingale (Brown-Trinity Rep.), and On The Other Side of the River (HERE). Additional design credits include productions at Miami Dade County Auditorium, Pittsburgh Irish & Classical Theatre, Brave New World Repertory Theatre, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Luna Stage, Premiere Stages, and Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park. Internationally, his designs and original compositions have been exhibited in the Czech Republic at the 2011 and 2015 Prague Quadrennial, and at World Stage Design 2013 in Cardiff, UK. He is a Lincoln Center Directors Lab alumnus, and received the 2013 Robert E. Cohen Sound Design Award. MFA: Carnegie Mellon University, School of Drama.
